We all have a part to contribute.
Labour Support strives to be a valued contributor to the community rather than just another profit-driven only corporation. We believe in giving back to the society and supporting the underprivileged.
Our serving of the community and the environment is evident in two main areas:
Environmentally Responsible Operations
Protecting the environment of the communities in which we operate is critically important. Responsible environmental stewardship is vital for the health and wellbeing of local communities. Labour Support also continues to maintain its carbon neutral status and commitment to being carbon responsible.
Our offices strive to significantly reduce office waste via a variety of comingled recycling initiatives such as:
Switching off computers before leaving the office
Using only electronic equipment that bear the 'Energy Efficient' badge
Utilising video conferencing facilities whenever possible to reduce business-related mileage
Another form of giving-back that Labour Support engages in is through an annual funds donation to the building of Unidus, a community centre located in one of the poorest suburbs in Brisbane, Australia.
The community centre is an initiative led by the Hope church global group. Unidus provides community relief and holds regular events that gives back to the local suburb and surronds, one such event is the annual 'Christmas for Kids', a children funfair themed day event with free food, toys and games stalls for the underprivileged children.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is an international charitable project whose mission is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way through gifting of shoeboxes filled with toys and personal necessities to children in need around the world.
Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 135 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.
Charitable Activities for the Underprivileged
Apart from empowering businesses, Labour Support Group also partakes in charitable activities to contribute back to the community and empower those in need. Our current chosen charity is AFJC (Ambassadors For Jesus Christ), a non-profit organisation established on 2011 in Philippines.
AFJC specialises in spreading the Christian Gospel through outreach services for prisoners and those in need of hospital care, free education, and even feeding programs for poverty-stricken areas of the Philippines.
Labour Support currently sponsors AFJC's pre-school in Malabon, Philippines. In working together with AFJC, we strive to help achieve the school's goal to provide free quality education for children and helping empower young individuals with not only education but also good values.
