IT Procurement Manager
Our client is an Australian owned and operated company established in 1986. They are a dynamic, innovative and growing provider of security products and services. Based in Brunswick, Victoria, they are looking for an IT Procurement Manager to join their team.
Responsible for the timely and cost effective procurement of IT products and services through negotiation and tendering of contracts.
Supports the IT organisation in formulation and procurement strategy, preparation and execution and negotiation of supplier contracts.
Ensures best in class procurement process, use of appropriate contractual and engagement models and smooth transition of contracts into delivery.
Evaluates supplier base for cost savings and value realisation opportunities, develops and executes sourcing strategies together with IT Delivery organisation.
Manages key vendor relationships, managing performance and acting as a liaison between IT and vendors in case of dispute resolution.
Works closely with contract and vendor managers and group procurement to plan and execute key contract renewals and renegotiations.
Identifies and engages services of new suppliers in support of IT requirements.
At least 2 years of business experience responsible for contract management, procurement, finance or other related functions.
Highly knowledgeable in the IT industry especially in the field of security products and services
Qualifications in IT will be mandatory
Demonstrable relevant experience in major deal negotiation in a global enterprise or similar sized public organisation.
Legal or para-legal background a strong advantage.
Familiarity in with industry standard contract structures, and proven ability to negotiate and deliver best in class outcomes under pressure.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to speak to various customer segments will be advantageous
Highly motivated and responsible
To own your own transport and will be required to travel frequently
