    Sales Representative

    The company
    An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Sales Representative to join the team based in Melbourne.

    Reporting to the Director, youwill be responsible for selling industrial products to existing and prospective customers, managing the existing customer base and prospecting for new businesses. The products that the company sells go across various industries such as:

    • Manufacturing

    • Engineering

    • Civil

    • Building and the list goes on

     

    The role

    Your role will be to identify, develop and close new business opportunities and to manage a large portfolio of existing accounts within Melbourne. You will work closely with key decision makers to thoroughly understand their business and to generate strong business relationships. Some of the duties will include:

    • Determine customer needs, develop solutions to meet these needs and explain and demonstrate the benefits of the solution.

    • Sell company’s industrial products and other relevant products to existing and prospective customers in Victoria.

    • Manage customer enquiries to develop sales and service opportunities.

    • Keep up to date with the company's products and services and those of competitors, in terms of product knowledge (features and benefits). Design customer solutions, provide quotes, follow up quotes and record in company CRM.

    • Provide sales support to marketing activities including advertising, promotional activities and trade shows (where required).

     

    The requirements

    • At least 2 years of professional career history within Industrial / Technical sales.

    • Previous relationship management experience

    • At least an Australian-awarded Diploma of Business management or a national diploma in a relevant field

    • Strong new business development skills.

    • Self-starter who is not afraid of cold calling and following up leads

    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    • The ability to self-manage and motivate.

    • Strong IT/Computer skills (CRM, Quotes and InternalSystems)

    • Will be required to travel interstate and overseas hence the willingness and availability to do is critical.

    • Driver licence, clean driving history and reliable transport; will be reimbursed for transportation expenses
