Accountant

The client
Our latest client is a Marketing promotion company specialised in Energy Sector. They are looking for a full time accountant (junior position) that is friendly and hardworking to join their finance team. Their head office is based in Melbourne, Victoria.

The role
This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious junior Accountant to develop professional skills.
Some of the tasks include but are not limited to:
1: Prepare bank reconsolidation; review the accounts in a whole
2: Provide advises on record-keeping in the accounting systems
3: Keep accounting database up to date
4: Prepare and do the weekly payroll management for staff
5: Prepare & assist for the BAS lodgement
6: Assistance to external tax agent for ATO matters
7: Prepare quarterly financial report and year-end financial statement balancing
8: Excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of excel and MYOB
9: Ability to work in small team environment.

The requirements
Ideally, the successful candidate will have:

• Experience in accounting area.

• Experience in preparing BAS, financial statements to external accountant

• MYOB expertise would be favourably considered

• Keen attention to detail and ability to work in a team

• 2 contactable referees to be included in the resume
