    Automation Engineer

    The client

    Our client is a provider of HVAC control systems and has been supplying quality control systems with an industry focus for over 20 years. They also have been the Victorian Distributer for Innotech Control Systems, the largest Australian manufacturer of HVAC control systems.

     

    The role

    The office is based in Doncaster, Victoria and the position of the Building Automation Engineer reports directly to the managing director.

    Some of the tasks include:

     

     Engineering Tasks

    Communicate with Stakeholders (Installer, Supplier, Customers, Consultant, Building Owner etc, as required to ensure we have complete and accurate information to complete engineering efficiently and accurately.

    Support planning, development, technical review and execution of the project to ensure that engineering has been completed efficiently and accurately.

    Prepare Operation Descriptions to meet clients’ requirements timely and accurately

    Perform design, development or review of tasks in specific areas such as control connection diagrams.

    Prepare Tech Data timely and accurately

    Accomplish equipment checks if necessary. Be cognizant of specific inspections, assessments, repairs, trouble shooting related to the work specification and provide written/oral debrief as and when necessary

     

    Commissioning Tasks

    Communicate with Client, time, date and contact details

    Carry Out Commissioning Works

    Carry out works within strict OH&S procedures.

     

    Service Work

    Communicate with Client project scope of works, time, date and contact details

    Service Reports to be done timely (weekly) and accurately

    Ensure Job Site Safety check list is completed before any works are undertaken

     

    The requirements

    • Bachelor degree in Engineering Technology with a major in Control and Automation systems or a similar degree.

    • At least 5 years of relevant commercial and professional experience

    • Experience in a range of electrical safety and quality procedures with knowledge of motor controls,

    • domestic, commercial and industrial installations

    • Skilled in engineering drawing using AutoCAD softwares

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; will be required to conduct presentation to internal and external stakeholders

    • Willingness to travel locally and interstate for work related projects

    • 2 contactable referees to be included in the resume
