Marketing Specialist

The client

Our latest client is a reputable and professional financial firm specialising in accounting, taxation and business financial services. They are looking for a highly motivated individual to join their business and head office in Yeerongpilly.

The role

You will be working within a small but team-oriented environment and will have a key role in the development and growth of the business through various marketing activities.

The role will own the marketing planning and strategy process and maintain for the team a single view of the business' marketing plan, ensuring all activities align. Managing the consolidated marketing budget, you will report to senior leadership on actual to forecast.

In this role, you will be responsible for an array of duties including but not limited to:

  • Regularly attend meeting with clients and distributers to increase product knowledge, account performance reviews and goal setting.

  • Plan and implement marketing directives and sales strategies on a national level (specific target demographics/scopes) to engage consumers and ensure sales goals are met.

  • Research to identify opportunities in the market

  • Implement, coordinate and manage advertising strategies to promote services and encourage customer awareness

  • Measure the success of the advertising campaigns and the effect they are having on the market

  • Use Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to engage in advertising activities

  • Contact consumers to assess if there are any concerns about the products and service and enter information as part of the consumer feedback loop

  • Track and interpret trends and patterns in the market to ensure the company is well positioned for future purchasing

  • Collaborate on new campaigns and strategies to increase market exposure and new business

  • Produce creative collaterals (Brochures, Posters, Facebook ads etc.) using a variety of design software

  • Ability to collaborate internal and external stakeholders.

The requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience of professional marketing background

  • Relevant professional university qualification in a marketing related degree

  • High level of knowledge in quantitative research methodologies

  • Experience in the financial sectors

  • Possess strong analytical and methodological research skills

  • Ability to deliver insights

  • Experience with tools such as: SPSS, Q, Excel, and Word.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
