Serving authentic Italian cuisine, a great variety of pasta, steak, seafood dishes including wood fired pizzas, our latest client based in Lilydale is looking for an experienced Italian Chef to join their restaurant.
Their established and family-styled business enjoys a strong reputation in the local region and also boasts great reviews online.
The role
As the business grows, we are currently looking for an experienced Chef to take charge of the restaurant.
Some of the duties and tasks will include:
Produce and maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
Ensure club menus, food standards, procedures and processes are followed
Maximise profitable food revenue in the club's food, function, and bar areas
Running stock control and managing all BOH food and wage costs
Supervise and manage kitchen operations
Enforcing daily and weekly systems and procedures to ensure a high level of presentation, hygiene, service, and product quality.
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and food standards.
Provide leadership to all team members to ensure the club provides a great dining experience to all of our members/guests
The requirements
Minimum of at least 3 years’ relevant experience preferably with Italian cuisine.
Trade qualified: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Demonstrated experience within a similar venue/hospitality environment
High standards in customer service
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Experience working within gross profit levels and expense budgets
Professional dress and grooming standards
Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to speak Italian will be advantageous
