Serving modern Australian cuisine, a great variety of meals every lunch and dinner and tasty cocktails is our latest Café restaurant based in New Town in NSW. They are looking for an experienced and qualified Cook to join their restaurant.

Their established business enjoys a strong reputation in the local region and also boasts great reviews online.

The role

As the business grows, they are currently looking for an experienced Cook to take charge of the restaurant.

Some of the duties and tasks will include:

  • Produce and maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation

  • Ensure club menus, food standards, procedures and processes are followed

  • Maximise profitable food revenue in the club's food, function, and bar areas

  • Running stock control and managing all BOH food and wage costs

  • Supervise and manage kitchen operations

  • Enforcing daily and weekly systems and procedures to ensure a high level of presentation, hygiene, service, and product quality.

  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and food standards.

  • Provide leadership to all team members to ensure the club provides a great dining experience to all of our members/guests

The requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Cook in an similar type of restaurant

  • Demonstrated experience within a similar venue/hospitality environment

  • Experienced with functions catering

  • High standards in customer service

  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

  • Experience working within gross profit levels and expense budgets

  • Professional dress and grooming standards

  • Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays

  • Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
