    Club Manager

    The client

    Our latest client is a successful nightclub spot located in the popular Surfers Paradise in Gold Coast, QLD. The interior of the establishment boasts eclectic colours and the walls are decorated with art pieces by local Australian artists.

    As the city of Gold Coast grows, they want to expand their business with regular events and activities and this requires for the role of an experienced Club Manager.

     

    The role

    Reporting to the Group CEO, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the club.  Working collaboratively with the marketing department, this role will see you propose and execute growth strategies for the business, in alignment with the overall company strategic goals.

    Your responsibilities will include Food and Beverage Operations, Functions, Reception, Club membership, Entertainment and Promotions for both venues. You will leverage the strengths of your team, engaging and empowering your team to ensure there is a focus on high performance standards and enhancing the customer experience. 

     

    Key attributes for this role:
    • Hands on approach to engaging with members and delivering the wow factor in customer service.
    • Ability to align your team to the vision, providing clear direction & KPIs ensuring thorough and qualitative execution of deliverables.
    • Ability to conduct analysis of competitive markets and apply knowledge to create a successful entertainment venue. 
    • Proven business and financial acumen and reporting skills.
    • Ability to make sound and timely decisions even in high pressured situations. 
    • Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including internal departments and suppliers.
    • Ability to promote a culture of open communication through regular departmental meetings and ability to create a workplace which attracts, develops and retains the highest calibre of staff.
    • Proactive, hands on, motivational leadership approach with focus on reviewing of performance and coaching for growth.
    • Excellent knowledge of the Registered Clubs & Liquor Acts, Fair Work Act, Registered & Licensed Club Award 2010, WH&S legislation, RSA & RCG.

     

    The requirements

    • At least 2 years of relevant commercial and professional experience in a similar clubhouse environment

    • Previous experience in a leadership position is mandatory

    • Previous experience managing a nightclub outlet preferred

    • Tertiary qualifications in business management is essential

    • Ability to speak an additional language will be advantageous

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    • 2 contactable referees to be included in the resum
