Aged Care Professionals

The client

One of our clients Anderson Recruitment and Training are looking to hire experienced aged care professionals to work within metropolitan New South Wales and regional areas. Candidates who are experienced and qualified are encouraged to apply.

The role

Our client is currently looking for skilled and qualified aged care professionals in these positions:

  • Registered Nurses

  • Residential Care Officers

  • Social workers

The positions are for full time arrangement.

The responsibilities will include

  • Registered Nurses

  • Registered Nurse with 2+ years experience within a hospital setting.

  • General Medical ward experience.

  • Evidence of Professional Development.

  • Passionate about helping others.

  • Easy going personality.

  • AHPRA Registration

  • Current CPR Certificate/ First Aid Certificate

  • Current Police Check

  • Blue Card

  • Residential Care Officer

  • Certificate III and IV in Community Services (Protective/Residential Care) or related.

  • Understanding of how to support people living with a disability with daily support needs;

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • Strong commitment to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and their families

  • Ability to perform both in a team environment and independently

  • Social Workers

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work and Eligibility for professional membership to Australian Association of Social Worker.

  • Minimum 3 years social work experience across acute / sub-acute aged care and community sectors.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the impact of sudden and unexpected change to health status and the ability of the client and family members to adjust and manage this altered lifestyle.

  • Ability to provide a high quality, person centred, efficient, social work/care coordinator service

  • The ability to work collaboratively as an individual practitioner within a interdisciplinary team environment, including the ability to initiate and maintain effective professional relationships.

  • Comprehensive understanding of, and experience with guardianship and administration procedures, including advance care planning.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including computer literacy and the ability to produce reports.
