Our client is a Japanese restaurant in Southport, Queensland and is known to give excellent food coupled with excellent service. They are looking to hire a motivated individual to join their successful team as a full-time Chef.

Cooking and ensuring that all food items that leave the kitchen are of a high standard in presentation and meet the business’s standards
Providing excellent customer service to all customers
Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness
Assisting with general cleaning and dishwashing
The ability to prepare and produce menu items to established recipes and methods
Formal training in cookery will be advantageous but suitable experience will also be highly regarded (Certificate III in Cookery and/or equivalent)
Possess sound knowledge of food hygiene practices and HACCP
Ability to handle pressure in a professional manner
Available for shift and weekend work typical of hospitality
A positive attitude and works well as part of the team
Proven ability to work unsupervised when required
Be motivated to produce fantastic, quality food
