Transport Manager
The Client
Based in Granville, New South Wales, our latest client is a longstanding Australian-owned business renowned for its vast client base, speedy service and seamless networks.
The Role
They are now seeking an efficient, reliable and Transport Manager to join their business on a full-time basis. You will have the opportunity to work within a growing business, which will supply you with career progression opportunities in the long-term.
Some of the duties and tasks will include:
Preparing annual budgets and reports concerning the operation costs
Purchasing or leasing appropriate vehicles and necessary equipment
Controlling the maintenance and repair of vehicles in the fleet
Organising replacements and disposal of damaged or old vehicles
Arrange insurance
Manage day to day activities of the fleet to meet customers’ expectations by Performing daily rental planning activities including customers’ needs
Pre-planning so issues can be identified and actions taken by allocating the proper vehicles to customers on time
Planning and managing Fleet maintenance
Maintain safe working procedures ensuring a Safe & Incident Free workplace. Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
business records keeping and preparing periodical reports
Liaising with clients to determine requirements and providing customers with advice and information regarding vehicle hire rates, obligation and handling complaints.
The Requirements
Minimum 2 years of commercial experience
At least a relevant Diploma qualification or similar
Previous experience working in the transport management industry preferred
Demonstrated level of exposure to leadership roles
Excellent people and time management skills
Understanding of financial reporting and skills in financial management
History of meeting and exceeding targets
Excellent presentation, analytical and communication skills
