Construction Project Manager

The Client

Our latest client is based in Roxburgh Park, Victoria. Specialising in construction and concrete work, they are looking to hire a motivated individual to join their successful team as a full-time Construction Project Manager.

The Role

You will have the opportunity to work within a growing business, which will supply you with career progression opportunities in the long term. You will be a vibrant and proactive Construction Project Manager with a professional approach.

Some tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications

  • Coordinating labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment

  • Consulting with Architects, Engineering Professionals and other professionals, and Technical and Trades Workers

  • Negotiating with building owners, property developers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

  • Preparing tenders and contract bids

  • Operating and implementing coordinated work programs for sites

  • Ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety

  • Arranging submission of plans to local authorities

  • Building under contract, or subcontracting specialised building services

  • Overseeing the standard and progress of subcontractors' work

  • Arranging building inspections by local authorities

The Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor degree in Project Management or Construction or other relevant areas

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the industry may substitute for the formal qualification

  • Prior experience in a leadership position and the mentoring of project teams

  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of budgeting, procurement, financial control and reporting of significant capital projects

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects within time, cost and scope

  • Demonstrated excellence in delivering quality customer service and developing customer relationships

  • Prior experience in risk management

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
