The Client
Our latest client is based in Rockdale, New South Wales. Specialising in the provision of education and immigration consulting services, they are now looking to hire a motivated individual to join their successful team as a full-time Accountant.
The Role
You will have the opportunity to work within a growing business, which will supply you with career progression opportunities in the long term. You will be a vibrant and proactive Accountant with a professional approach.
Some tasks and responsibilities may include:
Formulating budgetary and accounting policies
Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders and governing and statutory bodies
Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports and undertaking audits whenever necessary
Examining operating costs and organisations’ income and expenditure
Ensuring accuracy of information in financial reports and complying with statutory requirements
Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations
Preparing taxation returns
Introducing and maintaining accounting systems; maintaining internal control systems
The Requirements
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy attained in Australia
Ability to focus directly on the tasks at hand
Keen attention to detail and ability to work in a team
Excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of Excel and MYOB
Full support provided to applicants wishing to undertake further studies (CA or CPA)
