The Client
Our latest client is based in Rockdale, New South Wales. Specialising in the provision of education and immigration consulting services, they are now looking to hire a motivated individual to join their successful team as a full-time Student Counsellor.
The Role
You will have the opportunity to work within a growing business, which will supply you with career progression opportunities in the long term. You will be a vibrant and proactive Student Counsellor with a professional approach.
Some tasks and responsibilities may include:
Conducting counselling interviews
Working with clients on study and immigration options by obtaining and examining information relevant to their abilities and needs
Assisting the understanding and adjustment of attitudes, expectations and behaviour
Presenting alternative approaches and discussing potential for attitude and behaviour change
Contributing information, understanding and advice on the learning and behaviour of students
Providing support and guidance to students to encourage skills development and providing strategies for independent success
The Requirements
At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Education, Psychology or Social Work)
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
Keen attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team
Demonstrated ability to effectively assess and case manage student counselling matters
Excellent time management and organisational skills
