Established in 1989, our latest client is a family business located in Moorabbin and prides itself in the manufacturing of high quality sheepskin footwear made from first grade double-faced Australian sheepskin. The company’s range of footwear includes Mens Boots, Womens Boots, Fashion Boots, Kids Boots, Slippers and Moccasins.
The Role

The Responsibilities
Determining, implementing and monitoring purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, policies and procedures
Ensuring sufficient stock levels at minimum cost
Controlling the storage and inventory systems and ensuring the business’ ability in meeting customer demand
Overseeing the recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions
Negotiating with suppliers to ensure the material quality, cost and delivery requirements
Ensuring the efficiency of the re-ordering, re-stocking, recording systems
Communicating with other departments regarding the business’ operations
Liaising with customers regarding the goods and services they require
Provision of appealing and innovative products and services to meet customer requirements
Identifying market trends and translating them into business opportunities
Directing and monitoring staff performance
The Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in a similar senior role
Extensive knowledge of procurement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Relevant industry qualifications or certifications highly regarded
Understanding of KPIs and cost management
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Exceptional stakeholder management skills
