Hotel Manager

The Client

Our client is a renowned resort situated on a hillside overlooking the heart of Airlie Beach. Just two minutes from the town centre and a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurant, the resort is a prime holiday location for hotel management. We are looking to hire an experienced individual to join their successful team as a full-time Hotel Manager.

The Role

You will have the opportunity to work within a growing company, which will supply you with career progression opportunities in the long term. You will be a proactive and vibrant Hotel Manager with a professional approach.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the management of the daily operations of the hotel

  • Ensuring the smooth running of operating systems

  • Supervising and maintaining the Front Office System

  • Ensuring transactions are posted correctly and reservations updated regularly

  • Supervising Front Office staff

  • Overseeing the housekeeping staff and conducting vacant room inspections

  • Assisting with the regular inspections of the hotel building and premises

  • Assisting with the supervision of the maintenance of the hotel building and premises

The Requirement

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Strong financial skills and understanding

  • Diploma in Hotel Management and/or equivalent qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a hotel or resort setting

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong customer focus

  • Possess updated RSA licence

  • Demonstrated past experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry

  • Good knowledge of Front Office and reservations procedures

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Experience managing and maintaining budget
